Dick Nunis: Disney Legend

This was the final interview conducted with Dick Nunis, prior to his passing in Dec. 2023.
Nunis spent over a decade under the mentorship of Walt Disney and is considered by many to have been Walt's right hand man. The keeper of the flame for Disney quality.
Nunis was a pivotal figure in selecting the Florida site and overseeing the launch of Walt Disney World.
Nunis retired in 1999 as Chairman, Walt Disney Parks after which he received the coveted Disney Legend Award.

Rolly Crump: Disney Legend
Rolly Crump’s final sit-down interview, conducted prior to his passing in March 2023, offers an invaluable perspective on the Disney legacy he helped shape.
Working directly with Walt Disney, Rolly played a critical role as lead designer of the 4 iconic attractions featured at the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair, including the timeless, It's a Small World.
Rolly made significant contributions on the ground during the development of Walt Disney World and is credited with the visionary concept for the Land Pavilion at EPCOT.
Rolly’s design sensibilities were deeply influenced by his direct collaboration with Walt Disney. Some say he was Walt's favorite Imagineer.

Robert Kingsland: Orlando Property Developer
Bob Kingsland played a pivotal yet largely unsung role in the earliest days of Walt Disney’s Florida Project, working under Disney legal counsel Bob Foster to quietly acquire the 27,000 acres that would become Walt Disney World.
Kingsland's team cut the 1st 4WD road to Bay Lake which eventually became World Drive.
It was Kingsland who took Walt and Roy Disney on his personal boat to the inspect the property for the very first time. Kingsland recalls Walt professing that "This would be the center of EPCOT."
Kingsland mapped the entire real estate market in Orlando and flew around the country locating land owners and getting contracts signed. He made frequent trips between Orlando and Glendale, hand delivering contracts then repeating the process till all the property was purchased.
